The Kids Are Alright (song)

Description
The Kids Are Alright is a song written in 1965 by guitarist and composer Pete Townshend of the British rock group The Who.
It was released as the seventh song on the album My Generation, and as a single in Germany and the USA. The Kids Are Alright and the title song My Generation were anthems for the mod scene in London, England. In 1979 Jeff Stein made a film about The Who, also titled The Kids Are Alright. The story goes that Pete Townshend copied the piano melody of a song written by Henry Purcell and used the second verse of Purcell's song as the chorus.
The song was later covered by bands like Green Day and Pearl Jam.
In 1998 The Offspring released the song The Kids Aren't Alright, a reference to the Who song.
