Tilapia

Description
Tilapia is the name for around a hundred species of cichlid fish from the tilapiine cichlid tribe. They inhabit a variety of warm freshwater habitats (i.e. shallow streams, ponds, rivers and lakes). They have been of major importance in artisan fishing in Africa and the Levant historically, and are of increasing importance in aquaculture. In new warm-water habitats, Tilapia risk becoming problematic invasive species, whether deliberately or accidentally introduced. Generally, this doesn't happen in temperate climates because they are unable to survive in cool waters below 60 °F (16 °C).
